Director/Editor : Phil Bowman

Phil Bowman directed and edited the next episode due out in Netflix’s  Trainwreck anthology which revisits some of the most gripping and bizarre events that once dominated the mainstream media. Back in 2010, Lifetime Channel had a brand new concept of a reality show. It would follow a private investigation agency staffed entirely by suburban ‘soccer moms’. It was a clever twist on the true-crime craze. Cameras rolled, contracts were signed, and the production team geared up for what they were certain would be a breakout hit. But the show never made it to air. As the documentary reveals, things began to unravel quickly on set of Soccer Moms, Private Eyes The moms’ investigations meant to be the heart of the show kept falling apart. Leads dried up. Surveillance missions failed. Key interviews were mysteriously cancelled. The crew began whispering about sabotage. Then, an anonymous tip blew the whole thing wide open. A whistleblower accused the agency’s head, the woman at the center of the show, of running an illegal drug operation using the PI business as a front. Now, 15 years later, this documentary directed and edited by Phil Bowman, uncovers what really happened behind the scene and its far stranger than fiction..

Phil said “It’s been an absolute privilege to contribute to the ‘Trainwreck’ brand, especially with a project as unique and fun as ‘Trainwreck: P.I. Moms’. The documentary dives deep into the chaotic story behind the scenes of what was truly the greatest reality TV show that never made it to air. It’s a fun journey, and I can’t wait for Netflix audiences to experience it. Thanks to the teams at Raw TV and Satusfaction for their invaluable support.”

Don’t miss the premiere of this unbelievable story, streaming on Netflix from 22nd  July.
