Love Monday for Sky Arts

Our editors covered both sides of this classical music competition 3-parter for Sky Arts documenting the Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition in which 20 young conductors from all across Europe compete for a chance to become assistant conductor for the London Symphony Orchestra.

Matt Scragg edited episode 2 and said this project was a pleasure to work on, despite the challenges of having to squeeze an entire 3 days of competition into 2 x 1hr episodes! The music was relaxing and any classical music fan will most certainly appreciate this. He also had fun spotting one of his friends throughout the footage who is a musician in the London Symphony Orchestra.

This project was gold for Steve Flatt who appreciates music, as a musician himself, and who had a blast working with his wife Naveed. He explained it was a nice change of pace from his usual fact ent work and he thoroughly enjoyed cutting the performance for episode 3 of Making a Maestro.
