In this one off Christmas special documentary, a host of top stars reflect on the life and comedy of Barry Humphries – AKA Dame Edna Everage.

December 2023 marks a momentous occasion as the iconic comedian is set to be celebrated through a state memorial at the Sydney Opera House. ITV1 is joining in this tribute with a special honouring the legendary Barry Humphries. Friends and fans, including the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Jonathan Ross, Nick Cave, Jason Donovan, Joan Bakewell, Dara Ó Briain, Lord Jeffrey Archer, and more, will come together to celebrate his life and career.  “Barry Humphries: The Last Laugh” takes a nostalgic journey, reliving unforgettable moments from his iconic characters, Dame Edna and Sir Les Patterson. The show also delves into the archives to unearth gems from Barry’s insightful and equally humorous interviews conducted in his own persona, providing a unique glimpse into the brilliance of this comedic genius.  It’s a  true celebration of the life and laughter of Barry Humphries.
