January is officially Desi’s Month! Celebrating the work Desiree Ivegbuna!

January 2026 is officially Desiree Ivegbuna month at Channel 4. Over the span of two weeks, three of Desi’s projects will be airing on the channel, showcasing her skills and talent in a variety of programmes.

First up, Episode 2 of What Not to Eat, an eye-opening documentary series made by Plum Pictures for Channel 4, which follows four families facing health challenges linked to diet. With guidance from Tim Spector (founder of the Zoe app) and GP Dr Kandi Ejiofor, the series shines a light on ultra-processed foods and how easily they sneak into everyday lives. The series starts from Tuesday 6th Jan.

Next, Desi switched gears for Episode 1 of Britain’s Favourite Railway Stations with Si King. In this ep, Si visits York Station, uncovering its Victorian grandeur alongside transport historian Siddy Holloway and architect Damion Burrows. A perfect blend of history, character, and place which Des loved.  The series was made by Yeti for More4. Catch it on Thursday 8th January.

And just when you thought she might take a breather, Desi edited Episode 2 of David Baddiel’s Cat Man and cut various stories across the series. This new doc by Expectation TV for Channel 4 is a funny and genuinely charming exploration of the world of cats, with David Baddiel meeting extraordinary felines, their devoted owners, and investigating all things cat-related from cat themed experiments to celebrity cats and everything in between. It airs on the 16th January on Channel 4.

Beyond the impressive January triple threat, Desi is known for being conscientious, hard-working, bubbly and incredibly easy to work with. She has a real passion for observational documentaries and character-driven stories, which shines through in everything she cuts. She also loves cats (which only made her last project that much more rewarding). A huge congratulations on an amazing run of shows, we can’t wait to watch them!
