Mary Berry at 90: A Lifetime in Cooking: Sidney Street BBC Two

Can you believe that Mary Berry is still cooking and inspiring at 90! Our editors love working on her series and this time it’s a brand-new six-parter, Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking.  Produced by Sidney Street, the series sees Mary reflect on her remarkable career and how cooking has evolved since she began in the 1960s. Drawing from her personal archive, she revisits classic dishes, gives a modern twist to old favourites, and shares some brand-new recipes proving it’s never too late to try something new! Mary is joined by a host of special guests including Alan Titchmarsh, Alex Jones, Gabby Logan, Jamie Oliver, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and Tom Allen.

Steve Flatt really enjoyed editing the first episode of this series which is with comedian Tom Allen who takes Mary on an eventful and nostalgic boat-trip (this got Critics Choice in The Times)!

Sam Thompsett edited 2 episodes from the series, he’d never worked with Mary before and told us, “Mary Berry was such a nice job to work on! Everyone was so lovely to work with and of course editing the queen herself was an honour, I’m really happy with how the show turned out and really looking forward to tuning in when it airs”  Sam edited the episodes featuring Alan Titchmarsh and Kiell Smith-Bynoe.

As you would expect from a Mary Berry series, this series is full of warmth, nostalgia and delicious food, Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking starts Tuesday 28th October 7.30pm on BBC Two
