The Apprentice

Editors: Kel McKeown , Alex Soskin and Gruff Lovgreen

29th Jan 9pm on BBC One

The editors love the challenge of cutting this popular, long-running series. There’s always plenty of compelling rushes to work with and the battle is trying to squeeze all the juicy stories into a 60 minute programme. As opposed to the customary 18 candidates, the series celebrates its twentieth series with an even 20 candidates so choosing which footage sees the final cut is trickier than ever but there’s always plenty of great comedy elements which the editors expertly weave in to create the exciting pace of the show.

Kel McKeown, Alex Soskin and Gruff Lovgreen were back to edit series 20 which sees Lord Sugar back in the boardroom and the stakes have never been higher. Joined once again by Baroness Brady and Tim Campbell MBE, 20 brand new candidates will battle it out for the opportunity of a lifetime, competing for Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and mentorship.

And for the first time ever, the boardroom goes global. Episode one lands in Hong Kong, where the pressure is on from the very first task.

Catch The Apprentice on BBC One and iPlayer from Thursday 29 January at 9pm.
