Hass has a long history of working with Windfall Films and was excited to be asked back to edit The Valley of the Kings. It’s a two-part documentary which takes viewers deep into Egypt’s ancient Valley of the Kings, where archaeologists uncover the extraordinary burial treasures of Pharaoh Ramses III and investigate evidence pointing to his dramatic assassination.
Hass’s background in documentary and factual entertainment shines throughout. His experience in long-form storytelling helps shape a complex historical investigation into something immersive, clear, and compelling.
He said “ Kings” was such a fun and rewarding experience! I got to dive into the fascinating story of Rameses III’s life and death, piecing together different historical events to figure out why his tomb was missing all those artifacts. It was a delightful challenge to weave these narratives together, requiring a good eye for detail and some knowledge of ancient Egyptian history. Collaborating with Dan Kandall, Henry Fraser, and the entire Windfall Films team was a breath of fresh air. The creative atmosphere made the whole process feel like more than just a job; it was an exciting journey through time!”
We’re very proud of Hass’s work on this documentary and pleased to see him collaborate with Windfall Films yet again on another brilliant project. Nice work Hass! Catch The Valley of the Kings: Secret Tomb Revealed on Channel 4 on 7th January.
