Hunted won the The Sony Impact Award, the film which was directed by Ben Steele, enters the world of Russian vigilante gangs who, encouraged by recent anti-homosexual legislation, go on hunting “safaris” to catch, humiliate and abuse gay victims.

Congratulations to Tim Fielding who won this years prestigious (love that word) Broadcast Tech Young Talent Award.

The Young Talent Award recognises outstanding individuals under 30 who work with technology in the fields of production, post and delivery.

Tim won:   Editor of the year.

Other News

Lem is very kindly designing our ad to go into the Grierson Awards programme which is bigging up all you editors!  This should be out in the next few months, watch this space…..

Well done to Franco Bogino, Tom Deverell, Dan Smith and Teddy Bekele  all who worked on programmes which have been nominated in this years Awards.

There were some other great nominations this year such as; The Crash Reel and  The Great Hip Hop Hoax see link for more details on all the nominations.

Well done to Martin O’Bryne and Iain Chambers who edited the last series of Sexy Beasts, which has been shortlisted in the Broadcast Digital Awards as Best Entertainment Programme.

Congratulations also to Tom Deverell who worked on Great Canal Journeys for More 4, this was shortlisted for Best Popular Factual Programme along with David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive directed by Dan Smith.
