Charlie Hawryliw
One of Broadcast Magazines ‘Hot Shots’ back in 2012, Charlie is an exceptionally talented, passionate and dedicated editor. He was 15 when he learnt how to edit as a hobby and just over a decade later one of the films he worked on premiered at the United Nations and won Best Current Affairs programme at the 2013 Broadcast Awards (Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished). He is very switched on and engages well with directors and in the programmes he works on – he always has lots of ideas to offer and excellent logic with storytelling and understanding of narrative.
He has a background in music and acting which has given him a keen eye for rhythm and detail, but also allows him to bring the most out of a scene, whether that’s in a hard-hitting current affairs programme, documentary or lighter factual entertainment show.
Charlie is very relaxed and personable to work with and a number one choice for his clients!
