Secrets of the Zoo: North Carolina

Double Act for Nat Geo Wild and Disney +

Series Editor: Charlie Webb

31st Oct on Nat Geo Wild

The team here are really looking forward to this one!

World’s Biggest Zoo takes us to North Carolina which is home to the largest zoo in the world. The zoo is spread out over an enormous 2,600 acres, it has thousands of animals living within a diverse range of landscapes. The series gives a behind-the-scenes look at the work it takes to keep the zoo going, particularly in regard to the health and well-being of the animals.

Big congratulations to Charlie Webb, it was his first series editor role!

Charlie chatted to us about his experience on the series and said I really enjoyed working on the show and always enjoy working with the double act team and Alex Wood the Series Producer who was brilliant. It was a  big challenge being my first show as series editor but really pleased with the format and style we came up with. Each episode has a theme throughout which is all tied together at the end of the show, making it feel very filmic. The show has some great moments, both highs and lows, has beautiful photography and has been scored superbly by Matt De Luca at Figure and Groove. I’m really looking forward for people to see it on Nat Geo Wild and Disney +.

The first ep will be aired on 31st Oct on Nat Geo Wild.

The Rap Game

Naked Entertainment for BBC 3

Editor Joe Swanson

UK rap legends DJ Target, Krept and Konan are putting seven unsigned MCs head to head in a battle to become the first ever signing for Krept and Konan’s record label.

Joe thought the artists this year are all very talented and enjoyed the energetic style of the show which made it a lot of fun to cut. Each episode is shot over 5 days, meaning there has been 50 hours plus of rushes per show. The main challenge Joe had was getting such an immense amount of material down into a 1 hour show!

We are looking forward to catching this series which starts tomorrow 7pm on 22 October only on BBC 3 / BBC iPlayer.

Rose West & Myra Hindley: Their Untold Story with Trevor McDonald

Blink Films for ITV

Editor: Tanya Trochoulias

West and Hindley: The Untold Story' Is Coming To ITV Later This Year - Tyla

As part of ITV’s Crime and Punishment series, this revealing documentary focuses on the untold story of Britain’s two most infamous female criminals; Myra Hindley and Rose West – the only two women to ever receive life sentences.

Moors murderess Myra Hindley was considered the most wicked woman in Britain for killing five children in the 1960s, with her lover Ian Brady. West was found guilty of ten equally terrible murders, with her husband, Fred West, including killing her own daughter.

Sir Trevor McDonald shares the story of West and Hindley’s relationship and sheds light on their psychology and criminal behaviour while they were both incarcerated in HMP Durham, alongside Britain’s most serious female prisoners, including IRA terrorists, sex offenders, and arsonists.

With a host of exclusive contributors, including former Category A prisoners, the programme reveals how West and Hindley grew close in jail, bonding over their similar crimes, then had an affair, which cooled as they became rivals to be ‘prison royalty’.

Editor Tanya Trochoulias said: ‘While the subject matter was horrific, it was a privilege to work with such a small and dedicated team to bring a fresh take on some of the worst crimes in British history.’

Airing on ITV, Monday 21st September at 9pm. Don’t miss it!
